Antwort von A. Typaldos auf Schreiben von Rossmy und Fischer Original Text

Response to Christoph Rossmy and Thorsten Fischer

I had intended to ignore Christoph and the EFDMA and focus on my own plans for advancing the FDM. However, Christoph posted on his website a harsh criticism of me and my new partner, Frank Römer, so I must respond.

In January of this year I began a partnership with Frank and Sina Römer, who are skilled therapists and experienced teachers of the FDM. Frank has participated in extensive training in diverse methods and techniques, and he decided that FDM is the best one and deserves to be the focus of his practice.

Frank also believes, as do I, that training in FDM should be available to all qualified therapists. So after completing courses with the EFDMA he began training physiotherapists in the model. Rather than supporting Frank and thanking him for being a proponent of FDM, Christoph and the EFDMA rejected Frank’s offer of cooperation. They spoke badly about Frank and criticized him for not meeting all of the EFDMA’s certification requirements. Then, as a response to Frank’s success in teaching physiotherapists, the EFDMA also began to teach FDM to physiotherapists!

During our cooperation, I have found Frank and Sina to be efficient, competent, and easy to work with. They have the right balance between principle and pragmatism.

Christoph suggested in his post that I am certifying Frank’s courses. Christoph’s suggestion is untenable and he should be ashamed for making it. We agreed to call the courses “Typaldos certified” in the same way Christoph calls his school “Typaldos Akademie.” It makes sense that I want to partner with a competent FDM instructor to make FDM available to physical therapists and chiropractors in the USA. It is unreasonable to suggest that is something bad!

Christoph also accused Frank in regards to his new FDM instruction manual. It is odd that Christoph would say this because Christoph is writing his own FDM book. Christoph even told me that his own book will be “better” than my father’s textbook.

Christoph is simply upset that he and the EFDMA have competition to face. He knows that my cooperation with Frank and Sina will provide us with opportunities the EFDMA does not have, such as publishing a German translation of the 4th Edition, conducting seminars using my father’s training videos, as well as training physical therapists and chiropractors in the USA.

I have always appreciated Christoph’s dedication to FDM, but he is overstepping his bounds by criticizing Frank when Christoph failed to first gain sufficient knowledge regarding Frank’s book and the nature of our cooperation.

Finally, Thorsten Fischer, in his criticism of Frank, did not say anything in addition to Christoph’s post. Rather, Thorsten attempted to make it appear that he and Christoph were taking the high road and Frank was attacking Christoph! Frank defended himself against Christoph’s ill-informed criticisms.

If Christoph believes that his classes are superior to Frank’s, he should demonstrate that as an instructor in his classroom, rather than posting misinformation about his competitor on the “Typaldos Akademie” website or in his courses.
